Jade Buddha Temple
The Jade Buddha Temple is a Buddhist temple in Shanghai. Like many modern Chinese temples, this temple combines two schools of Mahayana Buddhism — the Pure Land and Chan traditions. The temple was founded in 1882. Two jade Buddha statues, which were brought by sea from Burma to Shanghai, are housed here. These are the seated Buddha statue (1.95 metres, 3 tonnes) and a small reclining Buddha statue.
Yu Yuan Park
Yu Yuan Garden in Shanghai is one of China’s classical private gardens. It is located in the heart of the old city of Nanshi. Its name translates as “Garden of Joy” or “Garden of Peaceful Rest.” Today, it is truly a welcoming and peaceful place in the heart of a modern and bustling metropolis.
Shanghai Tower
Shanghai Tower is the tallest structure located in Shanghai’s Pudong district. It is 632 metres high and has a total area of around 380,000 square metres. The Jin Mao Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center are located next to the building.
After its completion in 2015, it became the tallest structure in Shanghai and China, as well as in East Asia. It ranks second in the world as the tallest building and third as the tallest freestanding structure after Dubai’s Burj Khalifa (828 m) and Tokyo’s Skytree television tower (634 m).
The Bund
The Bund in Shanghai, China, is a section of Sun Yat-sen Road. It is located within the boundaries of the former International Settlement, along the Huangpu River, in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The name “The Bund” usually also refers to the buildings and docks located along this street, as well as the surrounding areas. On the opposite bank of the river, across from the Bund, is Shanghai’s new business district — Pudong.

Haedong Yonggungsa Buddhist Temple
Haedong Yonggungsa is a Buddhist temple located in the Gijang district of Busan, Korea. It is considered one of the well-known monasteries of the “Jogye” tradition of Korean Buddhism. The temple was built by the monk Naong at the end of the Goryeo dynasty and was originally called “Bomunsa.” It was burned during the Japanese invasions, and after the war, the monk Ungang began restoring and expanding the temple. In 1974, the monk Jeongam dreamed that Avalokiteshvara was ascending into the sky with a dragon, and after this vision, the monastery’s name was changed to “Haedong Yonggungsa.”

Gamcheon Culture Village is located in the Gamcheon-dong neighbourhood of Saha-gu District in Busan, South Korea. It was formerly called “Taegeukdo Village.” It is now considered one of the city’s attractions.
For many decades, this area was a poor and undeveloped neighbourhood, but in 2009, artists from Busan and local residents, with the support of Busan City Hall and the country’s Ministry of Culture, carried out the “Art District Project,” which resulted in the creation of Gamcheon Culture Village.
The distinctive feature of the neighbourhood is that the houses are built very close to one another, and each house is painted a different colour. The walls of many houses are decorated with paintings, while sculptures created by Busan artists and sculptors can be found inside. The houses in the neighbourhood are built extremely close together, so the streets are very narrow, and rooftops are used instead of courtyards.

Changdeokgung Palace
Changdeokgung Palace was built in 1405. It is the second royal palace after Gyeongbokgung Palace. Located east of Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung is also called Donggwol, the Eastern Palace. The palace includes public pavilions, pavilions for official meetings, the king’s residence and the Huwon Secret Garden. It is the only palace that has fully preserved the architectural style of the Joseon dynasty.
Bukchon National Village
Bukchon is one of Seoul’s old districts that has survived to the present day. During the Joseon dynasty, these traditional roofed houses belonged to the Korean nobility, the “yangban.” The village of traditional hanok houses in Bukchon is located near Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces and the royal Jongmyo Shrine. It appeared here at the same time as the founding of Seoul, more than six centuries ago.
Insadong
Insadong is located in the city centre and has preserved Korea’s ancient traditions, giving it special significance. Insadong Street is a wide tourist road with many streets on both sides. These streets are home to exhibition halls, traditional restaurants, tea houses and cafés. The souvenir shops in Insadong are very popular among people of all ages because each shop is unique in what it offers.
Jogyesa Buddhist Temple
Jogyesa Temple is located in the centre of Seoul and is considered the heart of Korean Zen Buddhism. Getting to Jogyesa Temple is easy — you simply need to walk along Jongno Street towards Anguk metro station. The first things you will see are the enormous old trees growing on the temple grounds. In front of the temple’s main building, Daeungjeon, grow a Japanese pagoda tree and a white pine, which are around 500 years old. The pagoda tree is 26 metres tall, provides extensive shade and makes the temple very beautiful.

Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon
Suwon’s Hwaseong Fortress was the official fortress of the city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province during the late Joseon dynasty (1392–1910). Construction of the fortress began in 1794 and was completed in 1796. It was built as a sign of the ruler’s filial devotion to his father, Janghyeongseja, and as the foundation of a new city with its own economic strength.

Cheonggye Plaza is located at the beginning of Sejongno Street. In 2005, as a result of a special restoration programme for Cheonggyecheon Stream, the canal was reconstructed and became one of Seoul’s main attractions.
With colourful fountains, illuminated bridges and picturesque views, this stream is greatly loved by both city residents and tourists. Cheonggyecheon is considered one of the best places in Seoul for walking and leisure.

Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395 and is located slightly north of the “Eastern Palace” (Changdeokgung) and the “Western Palace” (Gyeonghuigung), which is why it is sometimes also called the “Northern Palace.” Among Seoul’s five palaces, Gyeongbokgung is considered the largest and is distinguished by its beauty and rich history.
The palace was seriously damaged and almost completely destroyed during the Imjin War (1592–1598). However, during the reign of King Gojong of the Yi dynasty (1852–1919), it was rebuilt under the leadership of Heungseon Daewongun.
